My Role: Senior Designer

As Senior Designer at TMobile, I researched best practices and accessibility guides on components and important aspects of brand design across web and app. One of my roles was to produce guidelines and recommendations. I also worked on component libraries and sticker sheets to be used by designers across the company. We met weekly with partner teams, engineers and accessibility consultants to ask and answer ongoing design needs and questions.

Tools:  Figma, Miro, XD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and UX Guideline Sources (Nielsen Norman, WCAG, Material)

Duration: 9 months 

Scope: Worked on guidelines and library components for: Forms, Carousel Trays, Cards, Buttons and Modals.

Libraries & Sticker Sheets:

I created component libraries and sticker sheets in Figma which linked to the usage and best practices guidelines. Our components were used by designers across TMobile enterprise teams and were implemented across multiple products from mobile app to web.

Guidelines:

Component guidelines would give parameters for components from anatomy to UI specifications, and include states and variants for both app and web products.

Design Audits:

Part of writting guidelines for componets included auditing components in use and conducting competitive and comaprative research. 

Research:

To create guidlines for components, I conducted research and consulted with specialists. Our initial findings were captured in Miro before they went into our system's guidelines.

Results

After conducting research and creating guidelines and libraries for components such as: forms, modals and buttons, our team helped improve the speed of use and retention rate by users and pushed the product into best of class.
